PRIVACY POLICY OF CEDARSTUBE

The CEDARSTube serves as an open and interactive forum for students of the University of Hong Kong to achieve learning and growth through sharing on issues of their interests, be they related to the University, Hong Kong, China, and the global community as a whole.

CEDARSTube recognises the importance of privacy to visitors. This section explains its policy regarding any personal information you might supply to us and information collected via this site.

CEDARSTube collects personally-identifying information, such as your name and HKU e-mail address, for certain features of the CEDARSTube website only if you choose to provide that information to us.

CEDARSTube may ask you to provide personal information in some circumstances specified at the time the information is gathered. Any information that you post when participating in any of the platforms of CEDARSTube becomes public.

CEDARSTube will not reveal your information to any external organization unless it has previously informed you in disclosures or agreements, has been authorised by you, or is required by law.

Please contact us to a) correct or update any personal information in the CEDARSTube that you state is erroneous, b) opt-out of future communications from CEDARSTube or c) request CEDARSTube to make reasonable efforts to remove your personal information from CEDARSTube's database. The user understands that it may be impossible to delete personal information entirely because of backups and records of deletions.
